To Our Readers

Thank you for picking up our fifth issue! This year, DoubleSpeak contains languages ranging from Mandarin to Haitian Creole to Old English.

We, Alex and Megan, have watched DoubleSpeak grow from a six-page pamphlet to the publication you hold today. As we are both graduating, we are pleased to annouce that our new Editorial Director, Meg Pendoley, will continue to lead DoubleSpeak as Editor-in-Chief. We are confident that the magazine will thrive in her hands.

Though we are sad to have seen our three founding editors graduate last spring, we hope that we have exceeded their expectations with this year's issue of DoubleSpeak. We have grown to a team of eight dedicated staff members consisting of students from all years. We are so proud to say that this year we have expanded beyond the realm of the University of Pennsylvania, and would like to welcome our contributing translators from communities beyond Penn.

If you are interested in getting involved, or would like to submit a translation for our next issue, we encourage you to contact us.

To Meg and the rest of our team, thank you for your continued hard work, and good luck in the coming years. And to our readers, thank you for your continued support and for allowing us to grow.

Sincerely,

Alex Bousquet-Chavanne & Megan Mansmann
